The Concord Branch of AAUW invites continuing, new and prospective members to come grow with us. Each member has the opportunity to become actively involved in contemporary issues, to pursue her interests and to extend her range of talents.

  • Continue the intellectual development you began in college.

  • Obtain research and project grants which have been developed by the AAUW Educational Foundation to aid AAUW members in developing skills through community work.

  • Attend general meetings, where you will hear a variety of interesting speakers.

  • Obtain information and education on current issues-- giving you the opportunity to research and find solutions to contemporary problems, and to keep up-to-date on issues and events of local interest.

PURPOSE STATEMENT

 

The purpose of this branch shall be to unite graduates of regionally accredited educational institutions in order to promote equity, education, intellectual growth, individual worth, and development of opportunities for women and girls. The branch shall:

  1. contribute to the growth and advancement of the association, the AAUW Educational foundation, and the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund;

  2. participate in development and promotion of AAUW policies and program through study, action, and public policy advocacy in areas related to its purpose, including community, cultural interests, education, and international relations;

  3. support branch needs and promote positive societal change in the community;

  4. cooperate in AAUW state and regional work.
